Job summary

Ohio State University East ICU is seeking an Inpatient Registered Nurse to manage and coordinate patient care on a medical-surgical unit. The RN will supervise the patient care team and ensure delivery of high-quality nursing care to patients and families.

Candidates must hold a current Ohio nursing license or interim permit and have a degree from a CCNE/ACEN accredited program. Background checks and potential drug screening may be required after offer.

Scope of Position

Position Summary

The Inpatient Registered Nurse is responsible for managing care to the patient and family, and for directing and supervising the other members of the patient care team. He/she is responsible for assessing, prescribing, implementing, coordinating, delegating, and evaluating nursing care of patients. The RN prioritizes patient care needs and provides leadership and development of the patient care team. Individuals within this position must be able to function fully within performance expectations defined for nurses in a medical-surgical setting.

Required Qualifications

Degree inNursing from a CCNE (Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education) or Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN) accredited nursing program required. Current Ohio license or interim permit. *Experience in relevant care setting preferred.omputer skills required to meet job functions.

East ICU is an 18-bed combined Medical-Surgical Intensive Care Unit which cares for patients with a wide variety of diagnoses. In addition to our Pulmonary & Critical Care Physicians, we have a dedicated group of Advanced Practice Providers that support the Unit 24 hours a day, seven days per week.
