University of Kentucky HealthCare is seeking a Recreation Therapist for Good Samaritan Hospital Inpatient Units in Lexington, KY. The role involves planning and conducting therapeutic recreational activities, assessing client needs, and coordinating with a multidisciplinary team to support patient progress.

The ideal candidate will hold a BS and be a Certified Therapeutic Recreation Therapist, with a Monday–Friday 8:00am–5:00pm schedule and occasional nights/weekends as needed.

Formación

• The ideal candidate will have experience as a Recreation Therapist within a hospital.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills are required.
• Bachelor’s Degree and Certified Therapeutic Recreation Therapist.

Responsabilidades

• Plan, implement, coordinate and participate in therapeutic recreational activities for client groups.
• Conduct assessments and communicate treatment recommendations to the team.
• Work as part of a multidisciplinary treatment team and manage recreation equipment and related issues.
