Job summary

Indiana University Health Fort Wayne Hospital is seeking a licensed Physical Therapist Assistant to support inpatient care across ICU, progressive care, and medical-surgical units. The role collaborates with therapists, nurses, and staff to help patients regain mobility and independence.

You will work full time weekdays with rotating weekends, following an approved plan of care, document accurately, and contribute to safety and quality initiatives while upholding IU Health values.

Qualifications

• Associate's Degree from an accredited PTA program.
• Indiana PTA certification.
• Basic Life Support certification through the AHA.

Responsibilities

• Provides skilled physical therapy services under the supervision of a Physical Therapist to patients across the lifespan.
• Implements individualized treatment interventions addressing mobility, strength, endurance, balance, and function.
• Collaborates with patients, caregivers, and the interdisciplinary team to support outcomes and safe transitions of care.

Education

Associate's Degree from accredited PTA program

Indiana PTA certification

Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
