Job summary

The Peninsula Behavioral Health unit at Covenant Health invites a Psychiatric Registered Nurse to join Unit C - IDD on a full-time day shift. Qualifications

• Minimum Education: A graduate of an accredited nursing school.
• Minimum Experience: Prior psychiatric nursing experience preferred.
• Licensure: Current licensure as a registered professional nurse in the state where practicing; CPR required.

Responsibilities

• Supervise daily activities as part of a patient care team.
• Maintain a safe, therapeutic patient environment.
• Provide therapeutic communication and counseling.
• Administer medications and document physician orders.
• Facilitate admissions, discharges, and chart reviews.
