Job summary

Old Vineyard Behavioral Health Services is seeking a full-time Registered Nurse to support inpatient psychiatric care for all ages. You will provide nursing care, perform assessments, administer medications, and participate in group therapies and aftercare planning within a licensed facility accredited by The Joint Commission.

The role offers a $12,000 sign-on bonus paid over time and a schedule Tue and Fri, plus alternating weekends, with full benefits and a strong professional development

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited college or university of professional nursing.
• Current NC State Nursing License (or compact state).
• Minimum one year experience nursing.
• AHA CPR & First Aid.
• Knowledge of nursing assessment, diagnoses, and interventions; ability to administer medications and monitor response.
• Ability to develop therapeutic relationships with patients and families; fluent English communication.

Responsibilities

• Develops and maintains a therapeutic nurse-patient relationship throughout the healthcare continuum.
• Demonstrates nursing process and clinical skills related to patients' mental and physical health needs.
• Maintains safe, quality, and cost-effective care while protecting patient confidentiality.
• Educates patients and families about medications and care management; supports learning needs.
• Collaborates with the care team to formulate an integrated approach to care.
