View Behavioral Health LLC in Long Beach, CA hires a Registered Nurse for per diem inpatient psychiatric care. The role requires a nursing degree (ADN/BSN), CA RN license, and experience in behavioral health. Bilingual English/Spanish preferred.

The RN will perform assessments, administer medications, coordinate care, document in EHR, and respond to emergencies. LPS training and certification are required, with shifts of 12 hours and weekend coverage.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited nursing program with an ADN or BSN
• Active and unrestricted California RN license
• 2 years in behavioral health or related field preferred
• Bilingual in English and Spanish or other languages commonly spoken preferred
• Knowledge of DSM-5 diagnoses and psychiatric medications
• Experience with EHRs and clinical documentation
• Ability to assess and care for adult psychiatric patients in inpatient settings

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive and focused physical assessments for withdrawal and mental health status
• Coordinate interdisciplinary care and develop patient treatment plans
• Administer medications per safety protocols and orders
• Maintain accurate patient documentation in EHR/paper charts
• Respond to medical/psychiatric emergencies and perform CPR when needed
• Complete LPS training and certification and maintain designation status
• Ensure compliance with HIPAA, patient rights, and accreditation standards
