Oceans Behavioral Hospital Broussard is seeking a Registered Nurse to lead milieu management and patient care in an inpatient psychiatric setting. You will assess patients, implement individualized plans, administer medications, and ensure accurate documentation in alignment with Joint Commission and state regulations.

The role requires an active RN license, a nursing degree, CPR certification, and the ability to work 12-hour rotating shifts.

Qualifications

• Current, valid RN license in the state of employment.
• Compact licenses are acceptable.
• Minimum of an Associate Degree in Nursing.
• One year of inpatient hospital experience preferred.
• CPR certification is required.

Responsabilités

• Apply nursing process (assessment, planning, intervention, evaluation) to develop individualized care plans.
• Identify risk levels and discharge planning tailored to each client.
• Implement psychiatric nursing interventions and progress toward wellness.
• Administer medications safely and educate patients on their use.
• Maintain accurate documentation of symptoms, progress, and responses.
• Review and update medical records per policy; transcribe physician orders.
• Communicate needs and plans with staff to ensure continuity of care.
• Delegate duties effectively and advocate for patient safety.
• Float across clinical services as needed and perform other assigned tasks.
