Job summary

Sheppard Pratt in Towson, MD is opening a new General Adult Unit and seeks a Registered Nurse for night shifts. Expect 36 hours weekly, 7 PM–7 AM with rotating weekends, in-person work. The RN will conduct comprehensive psychiatric nursing care, collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, and support patients 18+ along with families.

Qualifications

• Must hold current RN licensure to practice in Maryland at the time of appointment and maintain licensure throughout.
• Candidates with multistate licenses may apply and must obtain Maryland RN license within 60 days of relocation.
• Experience in a psychiatric nursing setting is preferred.
• Orientation/training begins immediately after first day of employment.

Responsibilities

• Perform a full range of professional psychiatric nursing services per team treatment plans.
• Administer medical treatment as prescribed by physician.
• Teach and provide psychosocial support to patients and families.
• Provide day-to-day clinical direction to Mental Health Workers or paraprofessionals.
• Document and report patient progress to the treatment team.
