Job summary

Central Florida Behavioral Hospital, part of Universal Health Services, is seeking a Registered Nurse to provide psychiatric nursing care for diverse patient groups including children and adults. You will use the nursing process to assess needs, formulate diagnoses, plan and evaluate care, and monitor medications and treatments ordered by physicians.

Responsibilities include leading staff, assessing patient status, and contributing to interdisciplinary treatment plans while maintaining safety

Qualifications

• Pass a Level 2 Background Investigation.
• Graduate of accredited school of nursing (Associate's Degree) required; BSN preferred.
• Current Florida RN license required.
• Minimum of one year related experience; psychiatric nursing experience preferred.
• Current CPR Certification required.
• Hours: Day Shift 7 AM–7 PM with rotating weekends; orientation Week 1/Week 2 schedule.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership to licensed vocational nurses, psychiatric technicians, and counselors; direct milieu management.
• Assess patients’ psychiatric and medical status.
• Contribute to treatment plans as an interdisciplinary team member.
• Document nursing care, treatment, and patient responses to treatment.
