Qualifications

• Current CPR Certification required.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership and direction to licensed staff; direct milieu management.
• Assess patients’ psychiatric and medical status and contribute to treatment plans.
• Document nursing care and patient responses to treatment for interdisciplinary review.
• Participate in crisis intervention strategies to ensure safety.
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to optimize patient care outcomes.

Position Summary

The Registered Nurse will provide nursing care for psychiatric patients, including child, adolescent, geriatric and chemical dependency patients using the nursing process. Duties include: assess mental health needs, develop nursing diagnoses, identify outcomes, plan and evaluate nursing care; administer and/or monitor the effects and side effects of medications and treatments ordered by a physician; to ensure safety and provide milieu management and crisis intervention strategies. Full time - Registered Nurses!

Job Duties/Responsibilities

• Provide leadership and direction to licensed vocational nurses, psychiatric technicians, and counselors. Direct milieu management.
• Provide assessment of patients’ psychiatric and medical status.
• Contribute to treatment plan as a member of interdisciplinary team.
• Document nursing care, treatment, and patient’s response to treatment
• Recognize signs and symptoms of mental health disorders and chemical dependency disorders and apply/utilize appropriate treatment interventions.
