Job summary

College Medical Center Phoenix, part of College Health Enterprises, invites compassionate Registered Nurses to join our behavioral health team on the day shift.

You will perform comprehensive assessments, develop care plans, administer medications, and educate patients and families while maintaining a safe, collaborative environment.

New grads welcome; CPI within 30 days; fingerprints required; BLS; documentation must be accurate and timely.

Qualifications

• New grads welcome.
• A Level One Fingerprint Card required.
• Current RN license and BLS for Healthcare Providers required on hire.
• CPI Certification required within 30 days of hire.
• Knowledge of growth and development with ability to assess and provide age-appropriate care.
• Understanding of nursing laws and timely documentation standards.

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive nursing assessments and document findings.
• Develop, implement, and evaluate individualized treatment plans with the multidisciplinary team.
• Administer prescribed medications and monitor for adverse reactions.
• Provide crisis intervention, de-escalation, and behavioral management per facility protocols.
• Educate patients and families regarding diagnosis, treatment, and continuing care.
• Monitor and record patients’ physical and emotional status, reporting significant changes.
• Maintain a safe and therapeutic environment.
• Participate in daily shift reports and interdisciplinary meetings.
• Adhere to infection control and safety guidelines.
