Job summary

Universal Health Services is seeking a licensed Practical Nurse to provide direct patient care under the supervision of the charge nurse and treatment team. You will assist with assessments, medications, and documentation within an inpatient psychiatric setting.

Responsibilities include admitting and discharging patients, supervising MHTs as directed, and maintaining accurate records in the care plans. North Carolina licensure and CPR are required.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited practical nursing program and NC licensure.
• Experience in inpatient or healthcare settings with adults, adolescents and/or children preferred.
• Current NC Licensed Practical Nurse License and CPR certification.

Responsibilities

• Provide and assist in direct patient care under RN supervision and physician direction.
• Perform medical management and reassessment of patients as part of the treatment team.
• Assist with admissions to and discharges from the unit under RN supervision.
• Supervise MHTs as directed by RN and maintain accurate nursing care plans.
• Document care timeliness and ensure entries in BMP and master treatment plan.
