Northbrook Behavioral Health Hospital is seeking a Director of Nursing (DON) to join our executive leadership team in Blackwood, NJ. This full-time, on-site role leads all Nursing Services, setting standards of practice, monitoring outcomes, and ensuring regulatory compliance across inpatient behavioral health units.

Qualifications

• Current, unrestricted RN license in New Jersey.
• MSN, or BSN with a Master’s in Healthcare Administration, Business, or related field.
• 5+ years of progressive leadership experience in psychiatric or behavioral health nursing.
• BLS certification through the American Heart Association.
• Handle With Care certification or ability to obtain within 7 days of hire.
• Demonstrated success leading nursing operations in inpatient psychiatric/behavioral health.

Responsabilités

• Provide executive oversight for all nursing operations hospital-wide.
• Act as a leadership team member contributing to strategy and decision-making.
• Lead nursing initiatives aligned with mission and goals; drive clinical excellence.
• Ensure evidence-based practice and patient safety initiatives; support quality improvement.
• Oversee workforce planning, recruitment, retention, and professional development.
• Manage budgets and 24/7 staffing to support safe patient care; participate in on-call rotations.
