Job summary

Advocate Health is seeking a part-time Behavioral Health professional for 16+ hours/week in Floyd Behavioral Health Services – Nursing Psychiatric. The role focuses on coordinating patient care, leading group therapy, and developing therapeutic programming with close collaboration with nurses, physicians, and referrals.

Required are a Master’s degree in counseling or a related field and GA licensure (LPC, LCSW, LMFT) with at least five years of relevant experience.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in counseling or related field.
• Licensed by the state of Georgia (LPC, LCSW, LMFT).
• Five years of related experience.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate patient care and facilitate group therapy and programming.
• Develop therapeutic treatment and maintain positive relationships with patients and referrals.
• Document group notes, care plans, goals, and interventions within 24 hours.
• Record calls and data in Electronic Medical Record in a timely manner.
• Communicate treatment issues to Nurses and Physicians daily.
• Participate in discharge planning and referrals as needed.
• Attend staff meetings and support a safe therapeutic environment.
