Job summary

The Oregon Health Authority is seeking a Director of Forensic Evaluation Service (Supervising Physician) in Salem, Oregon. This role leads the Forensic Evaluation Service, providing clinical supervision of psychiatrists, psychologists, and support staff while ensuring high-quality forensic evaluations for court-related cases.

Candidate must hold board certification in general psychiatry (and forensic psychiatry per eligibility) and possess an Oregon medical license.

Qualifications

• Board certification in general psychiatry and be either board eligible or have board certification in forensic psychiatry at the time of appointment.
• Physician's license issued by the Oregon Board of Medical Examiners at the time of appointment and maintain the licensure throughout employment.
• Minimum 2 years’ experience managing clinical and administrative staff.

Responsibilities

• Lead, support, and coordinate the activities of the Forensic Evaluation Service at OSH.
• Provide clinical supervision and administrative management of FES staff including psychiatrists and psychologists.
• Ensure compliance with federal/state laws and professional standards in forensic evaluations.
