Job summary

University Hospitals is seeking a PRN Physical Therapist for Samaritan Adult Inpatient to organize and conduct physical therapy services for inpatient rehabilitation. You will evaluate patients, develop individualized plans, educate families, and participate in discharge planning.

The role requires a PT license, BLS within 90 days, and the ability to manage care across age groups in an inpatient setting.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapy program required.
• Evaluation and treatment skills appropriate to patient age and condition.
• Professional initiative, objectivity, good time management and interpersonal skills required.
• Physically, cognitively and perceptually able to provide patient treatment and assist in mobility.

Responsibilities

• Organizes and conducts Physical Therapy program to facilitate rehabilitation.
• Directs patient participation in selected activities/treatments to restore and maintain health.
• Performs evaluations and develops effective treatment plan for rehabilitation needs.
• Educates patient, family, and caregiver on health information, treatment, and prevention.
• Initiates and participates in discharge planning process.
• Performs documentation, billing and department support tasks.
• Complies with policies and standards; adheres to PHI requirements.
• Duties as assigned and oriented by department.
