The University of Iowa Health Care Department of Nursing seeks a Phlebotomy Technician I for the Inpatient Phlebotomy Team in Iowa City. This 50% night-position performs phlebotomy, specimen labeling, data entry, and distribution of phlebotomy supplies within the inpatient setting.

Minimum requirements include a high school diploma and prior public contact/customer service experience. Desirable qualifications include phlebotomy training, 6 months healthcare experience, basic computer skills, and

• Performs phlebotomy draws.
• Performs computer data entry and other clerical tasks as required.
• Orders, receives, and distributes supplies.
• Responds to basic phlebotomy inquiries and represents assigned work areas.
