Job summary

Ansible Government Solutions, LLC is recruiting Phlebotomists with EKG experience to support inpatient services at the Long Beach VA Health Care System. This position involves phlebotomy-focused duties with EKG as needed, across multiple inpatient departments, with shift schedules that may change at the direction of Ansible or its customers.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Phlebotomy training program completion.
• CPT I or CPT II phlebotomy certification (California).
• AHA Basic Life Support certification.
• Minimum 1 year phlebotomy experience within the last 3 years.
• 2–3 years inpatient or acute care experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform proper specimen collection and labeling for routine and special procedures.
• Conduct venipuncture and capillary blood collection on patients of all ages.
• Accession specimens and ensure timely transport to laboratory sections.
• Maintain compliance with VA policies, infection control standards and patient privacy.
• Perform resting EKGs for inpatient populations as needed and document results.
• Explain procedures to patients to ensure cooperation and comfort.
