Overview

Ansible Government Solutions, LLC (Ansible) is currently recruiting Phlebotomists to support the Blyth VA Clinic located at 1273 W Hobsonway, Blythe, CA, 92225. If you accept employment with Ansible, you must also acknowledge that any assigned schedule is subject to change at the direction of either Ansible or its customers.

Responsibilities

• Draw blood samples for outpatient services
• Ensure proper patient identification to eliminate errors
• Accession and process specimens for testing
• Maintain congenial relationships with staff and patients
• Follow all infection control policies and procedures
• Work under the supervision of the Phlebotomy Supervisor
• Participate in training and continuing education sessions

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Phlebotomy certification from an accredited agency (e.g., CPT I/II licensing in California)
• Completion of an approved phlebotomy training course (or equivalent)
• American Heart Association (AHA) CPR/Basic Life Support (BLS)
• Minimum of 1 year of experience within the last 3 years as a patient service technician/phlebotomist
• 2-3 years of phlebotomist experience in an acute care setting is preferred
• Proficiency in the following: blood collection by venipuncture and capillary technique from patients of all age groups, urine drug screen collections, paternity collections, breath/saliva alcohol testing, LCM/Cyber Tools, TestCup, pediatric blood collections, and difficult draws
• No sponsorship available

Physical Requirements

• Sit, stand, walk, lift, squat, bend, twist, and reach above shoulders during the work shift
• Lift up to 50 lbs from floor to waist
• Lift up to 20 lbs
• Carry up to 40 lbs a reasonable distance
• Push/pull with 30 lbs of force

Pay

$24.19 - $28.60 hourly
