HCA Houston Healthcare North Cypress is seeking a Phlebotomist PRN to perform venipunctures and skin punctures in both in-patient and out-patient areas. You will input specimen data, process requisitions, and assist in the clinical laboratory while following safety and confidentiality standards.

The role requires a High School Diploma or GED and BLS within 30 days of employment. No travel and a strong commitment to patient care are essential for this on-site position in Cypress, Texas.

Qualifications

• Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
• High School Graduate / GED

Responsibilities

• Performs venipunctures and skin punctures competently and expediently in both in-patient and out-patient areas
• Adheres to proper drawing techniques and patient identification
• Inputting specimen collection information and processing requisitions
• Maintains confidentiality relative to patient information
• Communicates critical test results per policy
• Participates in performance improvement activities
• Assists in care and maintenance of laboratory work areas and supplies
