Job summary

Penn Medicine is hiring a Pharmacy Technician to support the procurement, compounding, dispensing, and storage of medications under a pharmacist's supervision. The role emphasizes accuracy, safety, and adherence to department procedures.

Responsibilities include stocking, preparing sterile and non-sterile meds, triaging calls, and ensuring medications are checked by a pharmacist before delivery. Strong preference for 6 months of pharmacy experience.

Qualifications

• Current Pennsylvania Board of Pharmacy registration is required.
• Experience range: 0–1 years preferred; minimum 6 months pharmacy experience strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Stock and restock medications and supplies in pharmacy areas and ADCs.
• Prepack, prepare, and compound medications (non-sterile and sterile).
• Follow aseptic technique for sterile products and use PPE.
• Triage medication messages and calls.
• Fill medication orders and deliver medications to floors.
• Prepare medication kits and trays; manage records and recalls.
• Train new personnel on responsibilities.
