Position Details

Pharmacy‑Inpatient; Full Time – Evenings

Responsibilities
  • Assist in the preparing and filling of medication orders and medication carts.
  • Compound sterile and non‑sterile preparations.
  • Distribute medication to patients.
  • Perform nursing unit QA inspections.
  • Maintain stock levels in all areas of the hospital.
Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Certified Pharmacy Technician Certification (CPhT) is required.
  • Ability to perform dosage calculations.
  • Effective communication with all levels of hospital personnel.
  • Basic office environment task proficiency.
  • Aptitude to maintain proficiency in all Pharmacy computer systems, automated dispensing cabinet software and systems, and all technical equipment required to perform duties.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Outlook and the Internet.
  • Expected to satisfactorily pass required hospital and government validation examinations.
  • Some college and prior hospital or retail pharmacy experience preferred, with a basic working knowledge of drugs and dosages.
