Responsibilities

• Assists the department in the procurement, packaging, distribution, and control of medication to the patients.
• Receives and stocks medications.
• Prepares unit dose, bulk, and intravenous medications for dispensing.
• Pre-packages non-unit dose medications.
• Checks Pyxis inventory and refills medications in Pyxis units.
• Provides delivery of doses.
• Prepares IV Admixtures.
• Demonstrates thorough knowledge of patients' right to confidentiality.
