Job summary

MetroHealth is seeking a Pharmacy Technician to support pharmacists in specialty and inpatient pharmacy services. You will handle medication distribution, assist with patient care, and participate in quality control activities across pediatric, critical care and oncology settings.

Qualifications

HS Diploma or passage of a high school equivalency exam.
18 years of age or older with no felony convictions, per Ohio Revised Code 4729.42.
Certification options: PTCB or ExCPT within 90 days of hire.
Active Ohio State Board registration or plan to become registered within 90 days of hire.
Willing to travel to external satellite locations if needed.

Responsibilities

Under pharmacist supervision, assists in dispensing and patient care in specialty and inpatient pharmacies.
Delivers medication-related services to in-house patients and take-home medications.
Performs quality control procedures for drug distribution technologies.
Upholds MetroHealth System mission, vision, values and customer service standards.
