Job summary

Penn Medicine’s Pennsylvania Hospital is seeking a Pharmacy Technician to join the Inpatient Pharmacy on a full-time, day shift basis. The role involves preparing and filling medication orders, performing calculations, and restocking inventory under pharmacist supervision.

Qualified candidates will hold a PA-registered technician license, PTCB certification (or within 6 months), and an HS diploma; associate or bachelor degrees are preferred.

Qualifications

• PTCB certification required or within 6 months of hire.
• Registered Technician with PA State Board of Pharmacy is required.
• H.S. Diploma/GED is required.

Responsibilities

• Interpret, fill, and distribute inpatient medication orders under pharmacist supervision.
• Perform IV admixture preparation, repackaging, and dosage calculations.
• Restock and manage medication inventory; maintain documentation.
• Assist in training new staff and students; ensure compliance with policies.
