Job summary

Penn Medicine's Pennsylvania Hospital is seeking a Pharmacy Technician to join the Inpatient Pharmacy on a full-time day shift in Philadelphia. Under direct supervision of registered pharmacists, you will assist in preparing and dispensing medications, perform calculations, and support inventory and quality assurance tasks.

The role requires a HS diploma or GED, PA State Board registration as a Pharmacy Technician, and PTCB certification within 6 months of hire.

Qualifications

• H.S. Diploma/GED (Required).
• PTCB certification upon hire or within 6 months of hire date.
• Registered Technician (PA State Board of Pharmacy) (Required).

Responsibilities

• Accurately interprets, fills, delivers, restock, store, return, waste all inpatient and outpatient medication orders under direct supervision of a registered pharmacist.
• Demonstrates proficiency in all medication preparation and dispensing processes, including IV admixture preparation, repackaging, checking and replenishing of medication kits.
• Uses Omnicell and clinical information systems for labeling and distribution; maintains inventory levels and communicates replenishment needs.
