Job summary

Jefferson Health in Philadelphia seeks a Pharmacy Technician for the Einstein inpatient unit to assist in preparing and dispensing medications for inpatients and outpatients. The role supports daily workflow and ensures the proper meds and tools are available for the clinical team and patients.

Shift is days, 7am–3:30pm with every 3rd weekend rotation. Replenish Pyxis machines, monitor fridge temps, perform IV prep with aseptic technique and maintain accurate documentation and stock levels.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• RPT - Registered Pharmacy Technician - PA required upon hire.
• Experience with aseptic technique and IV preparation preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepares drug orders from physicians for review and dispensing by a pharmacist.
• Replenishes Pyxis machines and monitors temperatures.
• Counts, compounds and repackages pharmaceuticals.
• Dispenses medications to patient areas and handles inventory restocking.
• Performs billing/crediting to ensure proper medication billing and documentation.
