Job summary

Vanderbilt Health in Nashville is hiring a Certified Pharmacy Technician for the Inpatient Central Pharmacy. You will assist pharmacists in the preparation, dispensing and distribution of medications and provide customer service to internal and external customers.

The role requires a certified technician through PTCB or NHA, with less than 1 year of experience, and a graduate of an approved program. Work hours are Monday through Friday with rotating shifts; benefits accompany a comprehensive

Qualifications

Graduate of an approved discipline specific program.
Certified Pharmacy Technician role requires certification via national boards.
Experience in hospital pharmacy operations is beneficial.

Responsibilities

Assists the pharmacist in the preparation, dispensing and/or distribution of medications.
Applies departmental processes regarding inventory control.
Performs activities as directed by Pharmacists and/or Pharmacy Managers in accordance with laws and policies.
Delivers outstanding customer service to internal and external customers.
Operates computer systems and utilizes technology.
