Job summary

Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville, Tennessee is seeking a Certified Pharmacy Technician for the Inpatient Central Pharmacy. You will assist pharmacists with preparation, dispensing, and distribution of medications, while delivering excellent customer service.

This role trains across all pharmacy operations, including central workflows, Omnicell deliveries, sterile product prep, and OR pharmacy support, with shift differentials and state licensing requirements.

Qualifications

• Certified Pharmacy Technician certification required.
• Tennessee pharmacy technician license (LIC) preferred.
• Graduate of an approved discipline-specific program.
• Less than 1 year of relevant work experience.

Responsibilities

• Assist the pharmacist in the preparation, dispensing and/or distribution of medications.
• Apply departmental processes regarding inventory control.
• Perform activities as directed by Pharmacists and/or Pharmacy Managers in accordance with laws and hospital policies.
• Deliver outstanding customer service to both internal and external customers.
• Operate computer systems and utilize technology.
