A leading healthcare provider seeks an Operations Pharmacy Technician II to assist in drug distribution under pharmacist supervision. Responsibilities include preparing and delivering medications, managing inventories, and assisting in training. Ideal candidates should be nationally certified or hold relevant experience, with strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
Assists in most aspects of drug distribution that do not require the professional judgment of a pharmacist. An Operations Pharmacy Technician II can perform some aspects of drug distribution and preparation, including assisting in training Operations Pharmacy Technician I. Technicians operate under standard procedures and guidelines supervised by a pharmacist.
EDUCATION, CERTIFICATION, AND/OR LICENSURE:
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Responsible for preparing unit-dose medications, delivering medications, ordering and delivering drug supplies, reading prescriptions, preparing medications, and maintaining records. Other duties include inventory management, labeling, calculations, and assisting in technician training. Certain tasks are restricted to pharmacists by law.
Must be able to walk, stand, sit, lift up to 30 pounds, push 50 pounds, and have dexterity for handling medications.
