Job summary

MercyOne Health System in Dubuque seeks an Inpatient Pharmacy Tech Trainee to support pharmaceutical care for inpatients and outpatients under pharmacist supervision. Qualifications

• Must be 17.5 years of age or older.
• Registration with Iowa Board of Pharmacy within 30 days of employment.
• Pass the test for and maintain national technician certification as outlined by the Iowa Board of Pharmacy within 1 year of employment.
• Child and Dependent Adult Abuse Mandatory Reporter Training within 6 months of hire and every 3 years thereafter.

Responsibilities

• Assist pharmacists and nurses with pharmacy-related issues and execute physician orders.
• Dispense medications under supervision of a pharmacist and prepare IV admixtures and sterile products as required.
• Deliver medications to nursing units and resupply as needed; process medication charges accurately.
