Job summary

Edward-Elmhurst Health seeks an Inpatient Pharmacy Technician I for Skokie Hospital. This per diem, part-time role involves assisting pharmacists, entering prescriptions, and supporting daily operations on rotating shifts from 5am to 12am, including weekends and holidays.

Required Illinois licensure for Pharmacy Technician; High School diploma required. CPhT preferred with certification due within two years. Prior hospital or retail experience is a plus.

Qualifications

Current Illinois Registered Pharmacy Technician required.
Certification as CPhT preferred; certification required within two years of initial licensure.

Responsibilities

Prepares, fills and labels medications for final dispensing authorization by the Pharmacists.
Prepares the unit dose accurately according to the refill list.
Conducts rounds to nursing units and prepares medications for transportation rounds.
Performs various pharmacy-related tasks to maintain efficiency and organization.
Assist in maintenance of pharmacy inventory of supplies and medications (RX and OTC).
