Job summary

Endeavor Health is seeking a Pharmacy Technician I - Inpatient to support pharmacists in dispensing and filling prescriptions at Skokie Hospital. The role involves entering prescriptions, stocking meds, contacting third-party insurers, and assisting with day-to-day operations.

The technician will prepare unit doses, assist with inventory, and participate in end-of-day closing procedures. IL licensure and a CPhT credential are preferred, with certification within two years of licensure.

Qualifications

• Current Illinois Registered Pharmacy Technician license
• High School Diploma or equivalent
• CPhT certification preferred; certification required within two years of initial licensure
• Prior technician experience or hospital experience preferred; retail experience for retail positions

Responsibilities

• Prepares, fills and labels medications for final dispensing authorization by the Pharmacists.
• Prepares the unit dose accurately according to the refill list and fills the automated medication station.
• Conducts rounds to nursing units according to schedule and prepares medications for transportation rounds.
• Performs various pharmacy-related tasks to help maintain pharmacy efficiency and organization.
• Assist in maintenance of pharmacy inventory of supplies and medications (RX and OTC)

Education

Illinois Registered Pharmacy Technician license

Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT)
