Job summary

Phoenix Children's Hospital is seeking a Full-Time Pharmacy Technician to join the inpatient pharmacy team in Gilbert, AZ. Under pharmacist supervision, you will assist with medication preparation, dispensing, and delivery to patient areas, ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulations.

You will work with pharmacy software, support inventory management, and provide customer service to hospital staff and patients. Arizona licensure or ability to obtain it and PTCB certification are required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• Hospital experience is preferred.
• Ability to compound IV medications is preferred.
• Licensed Pharmacy Technician in Arizona or able to obtain license before start date is required.
• Nationally Certified PTCB is required.

Responsibilities

• Assist in preparing and labeling medications under pharmacist supervision.
• Perform non-sterile compounding and repackaging per laws and standards.
• Deliver medications and supplies to patient areas on schedule.
• Utilize pharmacy information software to process requisitions and billing.
• Provide first-line customer service to staff and visitors.
• Maintain inventory levels and rotate stock; remove expired items.
• Complete quality assurance records and comply with waste controls.
• Participate in department process improvement and training.
