Job summary

Henry Ford Health is seeking an Inpatient Pharmacy Technician to support the pharmacy team with medication preparation and distribution for patients at Moross Detroit. This part-time role offers 20 hours per week with rotating shifts under supervision of a pharmacist.

Responsibilities include entering orders, labeling medications, preparing IVs if applicable, maintaining inventory, and providing excellent patient care while collaborating with physicians and nurses.

Qualifications

• Requires high school diploma or GED.
• Must have Michigan Pharmacy Technician License.
• 6 months pharmacy experience preferred.
• Ability to type ~25 words per minute on a computer.
• Ability to work with a wide variety of people under stress.
• Motivated to provide high quality patient care.

Responsibilities

• Picks up medication orders and delivers medications to patient care areas.
• Interprets and enters medication orders into the pharmacy computer system.
• Determines quantities needed and prepares medications for dispensing.
• Prepares and labels intravenous solutions as required.
• Maintains drug inventory and processes medication charges.
