Qualifications

• Education: High School diploma/equivalent.
• Experience: 2-3 years pharmacy technician experience preferred, but not required.
• Certification and Licensure: Must attain New York State licensure for Registered Pharmacy Technicians within the introductory period; CSPT or CPhT-Adv preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Procures and distributes medications per physician or pharmacist requests and predefined work assignments.
• Replenishes medications in automated dispensing units and manages stock before expiration.
• Prepares intravenous admixtures and sterile preparations (including chemotherapy) under supervision.
• Maintains logs and documentation for inventory and compliance.
• Ensures cleanliness and organization of the pharmacy area and IV room.
• Performs timely drug storage inspections and assists with ordering and receiving medications.
