Job summary

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent.
• 1–2 years of college preferred.
• Rhode Island Pharmacy Technician licensure; sits for CPhT exam within 6 months and cert within 12 months.

Responsibilities

• Review medication orders and prepare meds for pharmacist review.
• Operate EDDS (Omnicell) for inventory control and dispensing.
• Prepare IV admixtures including chemotherapy and other infusions using aseptic technique.
• Maintain operating room med inventory and controlled substances.
• Deliver medications to clinics and patient care areas; label and repack as needed.
• Assist in orientation and training of other pharmacy technicians and interns.
