Job summary

Nicklaus Children's Health System in Miami, FL is seeking a Pharmacy Technician to support Pharmacists with order processing, preparation of general and specialty medications (Chemotherapy, TPN and Cardiac Preps) and IV solutions for the Inpatient Pharmacy.

Responsibilities include processing floor stock orders, maintaining inventories, answering phones, providing customer support, and removing outdated medications and deliveries. Florida license required; hospital experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Florida Pharmacy Technician license in good standing.
• Graduate of an approved pharmacy certification program preferred.
• Hospital pharmacy technician experience preferred (3+ years).
• Strong reading, writing and verbal communication in English.
• Experience with IV admixture and unit-dose medication preparation.

Responsibilities

• Answer phones and provide customer service per departmental standards.
• Prepare medications and IV admixtures for inpatient use.
• Process floor stock orders and maintain medication inventories.
• Report and remove outdated medications and manage deliveries.
• Support Lean committee initiatives and ensure timely dispensing.
