Job summary

Memorial Healthcare System is seeking a Pharmacy Technician I to perform sterile compounding and support medication distribution within a busy inpatient setting.

The role requires one year of experience, Florida licensure, and nationally recognized certifications (ACPHT, CPHT, EXCPT). A sign-on bonus up to $5K may be available based on qualifications.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• ACPHT, CPHT, and EXCPT certifications are required or in process.
• One year of Pharmacy Technician experience is required.

Summary:

The registered and certified pharmacy technician II works under the direct supervision of licensed pharmacists to provide distributive pharmacy services and support to the pharmacy department. Additionally, provides a high level of assistance in distribution, dispensing, and compounding of sterile and non-sterile medications, and related supplies in compliance with accreditation, legal, regulatory, and safety requirements.

This position may be eligible for a sign-on bonus of up to $5K, contingent upon the applicant's qualifications and subject to certain eligibility requirements. Please note, that candidates must possess prior inpatient work experience to qualify for the sign-on bonus.

Responsibilities:

Performs sterile compounding, including limited hazardous medications in accordance with regulatory requirements.Competent and skilled to perform all duties of Technician I.Assists with procurement of medications and supplies through various ordering platforms.Assists with process improvement and continuous quality and safety monitoring initiatives.Able to perform all activities per pharmacy technician scope of practice
