Job summary

Mercy Cedar Rapids is seeking an Inpatient Pharmacy Technician II to support medication inventory management, preparation, and delivery under a registered pharmacist’s supervision. The role is for applicants with prior pharmacy experience and current Iowa Certified Pharmacy Technician licensure.

Responsibilities include filling, labeling and delivering medications, maintaining accurate inventory, preparing sterile and non-sterile medications, and triaging calls.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Active Iowa Certified Pharmacy Technician registration required.
• Experience in a pharmacy setting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintain knowledge of pharmacy terminology, pharmacology, and pharmacotherapy.
• Accurately fill, label, and deliver medications throughout the hospital.
• Maintain inventory counts and expiration dates in pharmacy systems.
• Prepare non-sterile, sterile, and hazardous medications per guidelines.
