Job summary

Qualifications

Pharmacy Certified Technician required within 12 months of registration.
Registered with Iowa Board of Pharmacy as a Pharmacy Technician Trainee prior to starting employment.
OR registered as a Pharmacy Intern with the State of Iowa at time of hire.

Responsibilities

Use medication orders to identify, locate and pull appropriate quantity of medication.
Prepares medication for dispensing.
Packages medication order for delivery.
Delivers prescription orders to patients or patient care areas under the direction of the pharmacist.
Performs computer data entry and print functions.
Gathers information required to prepare prescriptions and/or other pharmacy functions.
Enters accurate and complete data into computer system.
Verifies and maintains up-to-date information.
