Job summary

Penn Presbyterian Medical Center, part of Penn Medicine, is seeking a Pharmacy Technician to join the Inpatient Pharmacy team in Philadelphia. Under supervision of a licensed pharmacist, you will prepare and dispense medications, assist with IV admixtures, maintain stock, and support patient care areas.

Candidates should hold a CPhT certification and a state license, possess a High School Diploma or GED, and have 1+ year pharmacy experience preferred.

Qualifications

• H.S. Diploma/GED is required.
• CPhT certified pharmacy technician is required.
• State issued Pharmacy Tech license required before start date.
• 1+ years of pharmacy experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepares medications for dispensing under supervision of a pharmacist, delivers to patient care areas including automated cabinets.
• Prepares IV admixtures and sterile products under pharmacist direction; maintains aseptic technique per USP 797/800 standards.
• Maintains medication inventory, rotates stock, orders medications and supplies as applicable.
• Trains new technicians and supports teamwork with professionalism and respect.
