Job summary

Mercy Health is seeking a Certified Pharmacy Technician for St. Charles Hospital. The role supports pharmacists, prepares pharmaceuticals, performs inventory control, audits, and handles customer service while maintaining pharmacy records.

As part of an interdisciplinary team, you will verify prescriptions, educate patients on medication use, and ensure compliance with regulatory standards. A high school diploma and ExCPT or PTCB certification are required.

Qualifications

• Must have High School Diploma or GED.
• Valid ExCPT Certification or PTCB certification and state licensure/registration.
• Experience in Retail/Outpatient Hospital or similar pharmacy setting is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Receive and verify prescriptions for accuracy and authenticity.
• Review patient information and ensure correct medication use.
• Educate patients on proper medication administration and safety.
• Support Pharmacist in daily pharmacy operations and documentation.
• Adhere to infection-control policies and protect staff and patients.
