Specialty Medical Staffing, LLC is seeking a Pharmacy Technician for a 13-week contract at a Pittsburgh, PA inpatient hospital. This role supports an experienced inpatient pharmacy team with a weekday schedule and 8-hour day shifts.

The ideal candidate has Pennsylvania registration/certification, hospital pharmacy experience, and EPIC familiarity. Strong communication and organizational skills are essential to collaborate with pharmacists, nurses, and other healthcare professionals.

Qualifications

• Active Pennsylvania Pharmacy Technician registration/certification in good standing.
• Recent hospital pharmacy experience preferred
• EPIC experience preferred
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• Ability to work effectively in a collaborative inpatient environment

Responsibilities

• Prepare, package, and distribute medications under the supervision of a pharmacist
• Assist with medication order processing and inventory management
• Support medication reconciliation and daily pharmacy workflow
• Maintain accurate medication records and documentation
• Deliver medications to patient care areas and replenish automated dispensing cabinets as needed
• Assist with sterile and non-sterile medication preparation as appropriate
• Maintain compliance with state and federal pharmacy regulations and hospital policies
• Collaborate with pharmacists, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to support safe and effective patient care
