RPh on the Go is seeking an Inpatient Pharmacist for an ASAP start in Pittsburgh, PA. This is an 8+ week contract-to-hire opportunity; local candidates preferred, with travel options available if needed.

Responsibilities include reviewing medication orders, performing prospective medication reviews, dispensing, supporting unit-dose distribution, inventory management, and collaborating with psychiatrists and physicians to ensure optimal therapy for inpatients.

Qualificações

• Active Pennsylvania Pharmacist license in good standing.
• Prior hospital/inpatient pharmacy experience preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Review and verify medication orders.
• Perform prospective medication reviews for appropriateness, dosing, interactions, allergies, contraindications, and duplicate therapy.
• Dispense medications and ensure medications are accurately prepared and available for scheduled administration.
• Support unit-dose medication distribution and medication supply to inpatient units.
• Oversee and maintain medication inventory, including ordering, receiving, storage, expiration-date monitoring, and controlled-substance management.
• Monitor and maintain Automated Dispensing Machines (ADMs) and ensure appropriate medication availability on the units.
• Collaborate with psychiatrists, physicians, nurses, and other members of the interdisciplinary treatment team regarding medication therapy.
• Provide medication information and recommendations to clinical staff.
• Monitor patients' medication regimens and identify potential medication-related problems.
• Assist with medication reconciliation, documentation, and maintaining accurate pharmacy records.

Monday - Friday (7:30 AM - 4:00 PM)

Pay

$65/hour
