Job summary

Protouch Staffing seeks a Clinical Pharmacy Operations Manager to lead inpatient pharmacy operations in an acute care hospital in Salt Lake City, UT. The role emphasizes patient safety, regulatory compliance, and efficient service delivery.

The ideal candidate will have PharmD, PGY1/PGY2 residency, and several years of hospital pharmacy leadership experience, with a focus on sterile compounding, medication safety, and process improvement. This is a day-time, full-time role with no weekends.

Qualifications

• Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) or Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy from an accredited institution.
• Completion of a PGY1 or PGY2 Health-System Pharmacy Administration Residency required.

Responsibilities

• Provide operational leadership for inpatient pharmacy services, ensuring safe, efficient, and compliant medication distribution processes.
• Oversee sterile and non-sterile compounding operations while maintaining compliance with USP standards and applicable regulatory requirements.
• Lead medication safety initiatives by identifying opportunities for risk reduction, analyzing medication error trends, and implementing continuous quality improvement strategies.
• Chair or actively participate in interdisciplinary medication safety and pharmacy committees.
• Supervise, mentor, and develop pharmacy technicians and support staff, fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and professional growth.
• Manage pharmacy workflow, staffing, inventory, and operational resources to ensure high-quality patient care and efficient service delivery.
• Collaborate with physicians, nursing, and hospital leadership to improve medication-use processes and support organizational goals.
• Ensure compliance with accreditation standards, regulatory agencies, and institutional policies.
