Qualifications

  • Doctorate in Pharmacy or Bachelor's Degree in Pharmacy required.
  • Minimum 2 years of pharmacy experience.
  • 1–3 years of management/leadership experience required.
  • Florida Pharmacist license upon hire; Pharmacist Consultant license within 1 year.

Responsibilities

  • Develops training and orientation procedures and schedules for assigned staff; ensures competency.
  • Participates in candidate processing, hiring, and staff performance appraisals corporately.
  • Oversees staffing, work schedules and training; counsels staff in disciplinary situations.
  • Manages pharmacy equipment, automation and technology.
  • Ensures compliance with State and Federal laws and regulatory bodies; maintains DNV readiness.
  • Attends leadership and committee meetings; represents pharmacy to nursing units.
  • Leads recruitment, interviews and staff development; coaches and provides in-service education.
  • Oversees fiscal management and resource utilization of the pharmacy department.
