Job summary

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED and first-year enrollment in an accredited College of Pharmacy required.
• Proficient computer skills required.

Responsibilities

• Perform duties of a pharmacy technician: fill medication orders, deliver medications, and prepare sterile and non-sterile preparations. Interview patients to obtain medication histories.
• Provide pharmacy services to patient care areas and customers; perform clerical duties; manage medication ordering, receipt, stocking and inventory control.
• Receive and interpret outpatient prescriptions and enter them into the pharmacy computer system.
• Adhere to hospital standards and promote teamwork using effective communication and collaboration.
