Job summary

Intermountain Health seeks an inpatient Pharmacy Intern to assist pharmacists with orders, procurement, preparation, and dispensing under supervision. The program spans central operations to patient-facing tasks as you advance through Level I to IV.

Hours are 8–10 per week minimum with potential additional shifts; the role supports education, mentorship, and preparation for a future residency or job placement within hospital pharmacy.

Qualifications

• Familiar with pharmacy services including evaluation and input of orders.
• Under supervision of a pharmacist build familiarity with inpatient workflows.
• Ability to progress through internship levels as training advances.

Responsibilities

• Assist pharmacists with evaluation and input of orders/prescriptions.
• Support central pharmacy operations, procurement, preparation, and dispensing.
• Collect medication histories and staff clinical shifts under supervision.
• Provide medication education and assist in discharge planning for transplant patients.
