Job summary

The Charleston Division Director of Inpatient Pharmacy at Medical University of South Carolina provides executive leadership for inpatient pharmacy across MUSC Health Charleston Division sites, including hospitals and emergency departments. Qualifications

• Education: Doctor of Pharmacy degree.
• Master’s degree in healthcare related field such as Healthcare Administration, MS or MBA is equivalent experience is preferred.
• Experience: 4 years of pharmacy leadership experience in academic and inpatient pharmacy environments with direct supervision of other pharmacy leaders.
• Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively with leaders and multiple disciplines; talent in the selection and mentoring of a high-quality, effective team; proven ability to lead change, organize teams and delegate responsibility appropriately; proven ability to use data to drive performance improvement; strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Licensure: SC Pharmacist License or eligible for licensure within 6 months

Responsibilities

• Leadership: oversee operations and liaison between clinical and support lines.
• Provide hands-on leadership and operational improvement SME to division projects.
• Ensure alignment to divisional plans and strategic priorities; develop staff and deploy resources effectively.
• Assist in budgeting, variance analysis, and business planning for division.
• Promote quality, patient safety, and regulatory compliance across sites.
